George M. Jacques Campership Fund

Nearly ninety percent of Camp Ruggles’ campers, boys and girls ages 6-12,  receive either free or reduced lunch.   The majority also come from single parent homes or group homes.  Accordingly, most of their families cannot even provide modest contributions to camper fees.  Since our inception, we are proud to say  no eligible camper has been turned away because of his/her inability to pay.
Established in 2009, The George M. Jacques Campership Fund honors the 38 years of service by the former Executive Director. Donations to our campership fund provide assessment, counseling, case management, recreation activities, transportation, breakfast, lunch and snacks for under-privileged campers whose families and guardians cannot meet the cost of camp fees.  Annual philanthropic support for camperships from foundations, individuals and cities and towns help defray the cost of camp fees.
